Adventure camp photos from Spring 2002

This year, we are planning to focus on orienteering, perhaps spending 1 ½ to 2 ½ hours a day on this theme.. Orienteering is the sport of land navigation and develops the ability to find your way in the woods. We'll play lots of fun games including treasure hunts, that will teach children orienteering skills. We'll start out simple and develop skills through-out the 10 days, as we build land navigation proficiency, including use of maps and compasses.

Below are other activities we have done in the past, some of which we may also do at this spring's camp.

Foraging wild edibles
Tree/plant identification scavenger hunt.
Temporary Shelter Building
Making Backpacking stoves
Nature Games
Nature Hikes
Night Hikes
