After several years of summer day camps, Twin Oaks Community held its first in our continuing series of homeschoolers' overnight camps in the Spring of 2002; ten days of Outdoor Adventure camp and ten days of Drama camp. Attended by 18 families from the eastern U.S., the camps were a great success.. See 2002 Spring Homeschoolers Camps to read about these past camps and to see photos and comments from children and parents who attended.

"Camp was cool, neat. I think it was just perfect. We were all homeschoolers getting together-talked and made friends and learned a lot."

Mary, Rockville, Maryland [May Outdoor Adventure Camp parent]
“What I enjoyed most of all about camp was hanging out with other homeschoolers -- especially the kids! I have come away from camp with a greater commitment (if that is possible) to homeschooling and renewed enthusiasm. We really enjoyed all the activities, but what set it apart for us was being with other homeschoolers. I could send Ian to any number of regular camps this summer, but they sure wouldn't measure up. Thank you!!! "
