Our overall water-use per capita is much lower than the national average, and included in that is some 'commercial' water use in our big kitchen.
Water using fixtures: we have some water-saving fittings on showers and sinks.
Toilets: we have a high percentage of better-than-average-water-use toilets. And, significantly, most of us don't flush our toilets after urination ("when it's yellow it's mellow").
Bathing: A lot of us are more "European" in our habits; i.e., we don't bathe every day.
